my projects… Haină protecţie arcaş… #1 / iunie 2021 Archery gambeson Am pornit acest proiect ca să văd cum se poate lucra manual o protecţie de luptă pentru un arcaş medieval. Acelaşi stil de lucru se poate aplica şi pentru protecţia de sub armura unui cavaler sau soldat. Am folosit doar tehnica de bază: două straturi de pânză iar între ele un strat de amortizare şocuri (în acest caz vatelină - material contemporan) şi aţă rezistentă (de cizmărie). 1. Pentru început am făcut măsurătorile şi am construit tiparele pentru spate, mîneci şi piept. La piept am făcut doar jumătate pentru că se închide cu un şnur. 2. Trasare ghidaje ajutătoare pe material la interior şi exterior după tipar (mînecă - material interior alt tip decît la exterior pentru că nu am mai avut). 3. Trasare ghidaje spate - interior şi exterior. 4-9. Punctare pentru a corespunde ghidajele la interior şi exterior. 10. Start pentru cusăturile de matlasare - mînecă interior. 11-12. Cusăturile de matlasare piept - exterior dreapta. 13. Cusăturile de matlasare - spate exterior. 14. Finiş cusăturile de matlasare - mînecă stînga faţă. 15. Am cusut şi marginea finită a tiparului pentru un control mai bun la ȋmbinare. 16-18. După matlasarea celor 5 părţi componente ale gambesonului am trecut la fasonarea marginilor - construit tiv. 19-20. Montare provizorie / ajutătoare pentru cusut tiv - mînecă exterior. 21-23. Montare provizorie / ajutătoare pentru cusut tiv - mînecă interior. 24. Start cusut tiv - mînecă exterior. 25-26. Finiş cusătura pentru tiv - mînecă exterior. 27-30. Finiş cusăturile pentru tiv la toate cele 5 părţi componente ale gambesonului. 31-33. Cusut mȋnecă cu spate şi piept. 34-35. Construcţie guler - 2 bucăţi pȋnză şi 1 vatelină. 36-37. Cusut gulerul gambesonului. 38. Găuri pentru butonierele de ȋnchidere. 39-49. Metoda de coasere a butonierei - piept faţă. 50-53. Finiş cusut butonieră - piept spate. 54-58. I started this project to see how a battle protection for a medieval archer can be done manually. The same work style can be applied for protection under the armor of a knight or soldier. I used only the basic technique: two layers of cloth and between them a layer of shock absorption (in this case wadding - contemporary material) and durable thread (shoemaking). 1. Drawing auxiliary guides on the inside and outside material after patterns (sleeve - inner material other than outside because I didn't have it). 3. Tracing rear guides - inside and outside. 4-9. Scoring to match the guides inside and outside. 10. Start for quilting seams - inner sleeve. 11-12. Chest quilting seams - right exterior. 13. Quilting seams - outer back. 14. Finish the quilting seams - left front sleeve. 15. I also sewed the finished edge of the pattern for better joint control. 16-18. After quilting the 5 component parts of the gambeson, we started to shape the edges - built edge. 19-20. Temporary installation / help for hem - outer sleeve. 21-23. Temporary installation / help for hem - inner sleeve. 24. Start sewing hem - outer sleeve. 25-26. Finish the seam for the hem - outer sleeve. 27-30. Finish the hem seams on all 5 component parts of the gambeson. 31-33. Sew sleeves with back and chest. 34-35. Collar construction - 2 pieces of canvas and 1 wadding. 36-37. Sew the collar of the gambeson. 38. Holes for locking buttons. 39-49. Buttonhole sewing method - front chest. 50-53. Finished sewing buttonhole - back chest. 54-58. Finished sewing buttonholes. 59-60. Finish Gambeson - handmade. Approximate working time 80 h.
